Neuroscience 2014 Program

Understanding of the Brain Mapping

Inscopix will be at Neuroscience 2014 in Washington DC! There will be several opportunities to learn about Inscopix and the new paradigm in neuroscience that Inscopix is establishing.

Here is how you can engage with us and hear about the most recent neurotechnology innovations that are poised to enable breakthroughs in our understanding of the brain and its diseases.

PRE-MEETING WORKSHOP

Next Generation Technologies for Large-Scale Recordings of Neural Activity

When: Friday, Nov. 14, 1:00–6:00pm

Where: Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Room 156

This Neuroscience 2014 ancillary workshop is intended to educate the broader neuroscience community on Inscopix’s technology and methods for enabling large-scale recordings of neural circuit activity in freely behaving animals. The workshop will be structured in two parts:

PART I. The first part will provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of in vivo brain imaging including surgical methods for enabling optical access of deep brain and surface tissue, the best practices for chronic imaging with the nVista HD system, and analysis workflows for extracting activity time traces and calcium events for each of the hundreds of neurons imaged. This pedagogical overview will be led by Inscopix scientists and will comprise a mix of lectures and interactive demo sessions.

PART II. The second part will showcase the pioneering work of some of the early adopters of Inscopix’s technology and methods. Confirmed speakers include Dr. Garret Stuber (UNC Chapel Hill), Dr. Jones Parker (Pfizer), and Dr. Yaniv Ziv (Weizmann Institute).

EXHIBIT BOOTH

Visit Inscopix’s booth on the exhibit floor to find out more about nVista HD, to see the latest in the kinds of large-scale neural circuit data that is being generated by nVista systems, and to get a first look at Inscopix’s new product offerings for in vivo brain imaging!

When: Sunday, Nov. 16 – Wednesday, Nov. 19, 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: Booth #2703

DEMO SUITE

A private, interactive demonstration of the nVista HD system.

By invitation only; inquire for further information.

INSCOPIX COMMUNITY RECEPTION

An exclusive, invite-only reception to celebrate the accomplishments of the Inscopix Community and for researchers to mingle and network with each other. Winners of the first DECODE grants will be announced at the reception too! Guest of honor: Dr. Tom Insel, Director, NIMH.

By invitation only; inquire for further information.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN WASHINGTON DC!
